EH10341 CASE# 26-4435 OF COLLISION 06/08/26 10:38 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE Renton Case #26-4435 Unless otherwise noted, the following occurred in the City of Renton, County of King, WA. On 06-08-2026 at approximately 1033 hours I was dispatched to a non-injury/non-blocking collision located near 200 S 2nd St. Dispatch advised the reporting party was involved in a two vehicle non injury collision. I arrived on scene and observed a vehicle parked in the landscaping near 203 S 2nd St, and another vehicle parked in the parking lot of 203 S 2nd St. I spoke with the driver of Unit 1 (WA/BQZ2754) who identified himself by WA DOL as Huey Nguyen (DOB 06-10-1965) who advised me of the following: He was driving westbound in lane 3 of S 2nd St when he decided to merge to his left into lane 2 shortly after the barrier between lane 2 and 3 ends on S 2nd St. When he merged Unit 2 was occupying lane 2 and he collided with Unit 2 with his driver's side front quarter panel. I spoke with the driver of unit 2 (WA/CDN6925) who identified herself by WA DOL as Ildefonso Galimba (DOB 01-04-1956) who advised me of the following: He was traveling westbound in lane 2 of S 2nd St when Unit 1 merged into his lane hitting his passenger side front quarter panel. He got scared and quickly turned his wheel to the left and drove south into the landscaping near 203 S 2nd St. Based on the information gathered from involved parties and observations of the collision, the proximate cause of the collision was the driver of Unit 1 colliding with Unit 2 by merging into the lane that Unit 2 was occupying at the time they merged. I provided both drivers with an exchange of information.
