What an amazing experience for the kids to actually be able to play under the lights and with places for spectators! It has generated more excitement for the players and the public (community members from North Renton shared the game schedule and attended games as well in an effort to support the team since the games were in the neighborhood - it was a great community builder). Its my understanding the team has been unable to utilize the main dugout, the concession stand and the PA system due to extreme contamination of rat feces that may be to levels warranting Serve Pro type clean up. Yikes! The team parents and booster are willing to do the work necessary to clean up but have been advised it must be done thru the City. Wondering - Is there a path that we as a community can support in order to encourage the clean up of these areas so the grandstand can be used to its full capacity by the community as well as these kids, should they come back for their season in 2019?? There are a lot of teams that use the grandstand for the adult recreation leagues and a full use of the facilities would be great! A good way to rid behavior you don't want is to encourage behavior we do want - Liberty Park can be filled with all sorts of positive behavior! ©C) Thanks so much for your time and attention to this inquiry and request.
