NARRATIVE
26-3920 HR
On 5/21/2026 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for the
City of Renton. I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run that had occurred prior in the 17300 block
of 108th Ave SE Renton/King/WA. William R Griffin DOB: 5/28/1980 was calling to report that
someone had struck his 2019 Dodge Journey WA/CWK7390.
I called William per his request and asked him what happened, he said that his girlfriend, who he
identified as Tyte L Blarde DOB: 2/28/1991, was driving. He said that they were driving south in the
#1 lane of 108th Ave SE. He said that a gray Ford F150 performed an illegal U-turn in front of them,
as Tyte was trying to pull around the F150 it backed into the Journey. He said that he did not think
there was much damage if any.
William said that the truck fled west on SE 174th St and Tyte followed, he said that he followed the
truck until it ran into a dead-end street. He said that he exited his vehicle and began filming. He was
able to get a license plate of WA/D61647F. He said the driver began yelling at him as he filmed. She
said words to the effect of"this aint even my plate" before driving off.
William described the driver as a light skinned black female, 20-30 years old, medium "chubby" build,
with dark hair and wearing a purple shirt.
William said that he would be able to recognize the driver again and did wish to pursue charges.
William uploaded the short video of the truck fleeing the altercation with a clear view of the license
plate. The next day he uploaded a photograph of the damage. There was a small dent in the front
wheel well on the passenger side of his Journey.
A DOL check of the plate returned to a 2023 Ford F150 to an Autumn R Walker-Coven DOB:
11/1/1989 to a Seattle address.
I reviewed the footage and it does not show a clear picture of the driver.
The registered owner of the vehicle, Autumn R Coven-Walker, generally matched the description
provided by William. I completed a photo montage and asked a fellow Officer to reach out to William
for a viewing.
Nothing further.
