On 06/20/2026, 1 was working uniformed patrol in marked Renton Police vehicle#B379 and wearing a
jumpsuit with Renton Police patches on each shoulder as well as the words"Police"written on the front
and back of my external vest.The below described incident is intended to be a summarized version of
what was captured on Axon Body Camera.
At approximately 1353 hours, I was dispatched to a hit-and-run collision report which occurred near the
intersection of Talbot Road South and South 43rd Street,within the City Limits of Renton, County of King,
State of Washington.The Reporting Party(RP) requested phone contact.
I contacted the victim (Unit#2- being driven by Chong) by phone. Chong stated that around 1300 hours,
earlier today, she approached the controlled intersection of Talbot Road South and South 43rd Street.
Unit#2 was being driven northbound in lane 1 of 2. Following a green light, Unit#2 and Unit#1 (being
driven by an unknown female) proceeded to make a westbound turn onto South 43rd Street.While
traveling in lane 2 of 3,the driver of Unit#2 described Unit#1 swerving into her lane of travel, contacting
the front driver's side quarter panel and driver's side mirror causing damage.
The driver of Unit#2 said that Unit#1 made no attempt to stop or exchange information and continued
driving westbound on South 43rd Street towards"Ikea".The driver of Unit#2 discontinued following after
realizing the driver was not going to stop.
The driver of Unit#1 is described as a white female, 20-25 years of age, brown hair,thin build.
The driver of Unit#2 submitted photos of the damage to this report as well as photos of the suspect
vehicle. Due to there being a suspect plate that matched DOL records for the suspect vehicle, and it
being registered out of Tacoma, I requested Tacoma PD check their local database for possible records.
