My name is Josue Chaname. I am the current occupant at the following property, which is
owned by my brother, Victor Chaname:

Renton, WA 98058
This is my formal written response to appeal the tickets I’ve been issued.
I want to start out by saying that my family includes myself, my wife, our six blended
children (ages 3-17) and my mother, who help us care for the children.
I have worked really hard to build my business, which is a General Contracting company in
Seattle that specializes in building and land development. We self-perform several trades,
but have a special focus in demolition & excavation. I say all this to say that I own a lot of
heavy machinery, equipment and a full fleet of commercial vehicles that I store in our
secured lot/warehouse in the SoDo district. I do not have a need to store any of my
vehicles or stage any equipment on this property.
Over the last several months, I have done a lot of work on the property, in order to mitigate
the safety risks posed by the existing conditions of the lot. For example, there was a pool in
the backyard that was filthy and overrun by frogs. On several occasions, I used my
business vehicles to clean and maintain the property. On Sunday, 06/14/2026, I hosted my
son’s 10th birthday and had a couple of my guys come to clean up and take the trash that
week.
I’m attaching pictures from this morning that show other homes on my block that also have
more than four vehicles and/or two or more commercial vehicles parked on their property.
It really feels like I am being unfairly singled out. I think it was unreasonable and a violation
of my privacy to use a drone to take aerial footage of my home without my permission. All I
am asking is that the City of Renton allow us the opportunity to park at the home that we
pay for, like everybody else.
