Responsibilities
--Primary Purpose of the ATC system is
to Prevent Collisions
-In addition to its Primary purpose we
provide safe, orderly and expeditious
flow of air Traffic
-Space and Sequence Aircraft Arrivals,
Departures, and Transitions
-Provide Weather Information.
-Support Boeing First Flight Departures
-Support General Aviation / Pilot Training
-Coordinate emergency response
-Support NAS in the Greater Seattle area
ATC in the Air
-Airspace Usage
-Altitude Limitations
-Spacing and sequencing
-Arrival and Departure Routes
-Deconflicting with BFI and
S46
ATC On the Ground
-Issues Taxi Instruction
-Issues Runway Crossings
-Issues Takeoff clearances
-Coordinates Vehicle movement for
construction and maintenance on the
airport
