successful, confident young people.
Recreation Centers
Recreation centers operate at full capacity in the summer. Some
operate seven days a week, serving as essential community hubs
that support youth, families, and older adults across Renton.
Highlands Neighborhood Center becomes a dedicated home
to summer camps
Renton Community Center is successfully operating as a dual-
purpose center
Henry Moses Aquatic Center operates seven days a week
All sites accommodate private rentals, further maximizing
community use and access
Facility operations are separate from special events, allowing
staff to stay focused on daily services while still supporting
Larger experiences. This ensures high -quality customer service
and well -managed, welcoming spaces all summer long.

Temporary Event Permits
The Recreation Division manages the Temporary Event Permit
process collaborating with all city departments. Events taking
place at various locations in the city. Notable summer events
include:
3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, Aug 1-2 at Liberty Park
Cruz the Loop, July 11 at Legacy Square
STP Bike Ride, July 11 refuel location at Ikea
C.A.S.T. for Kids Fishing Derby, Sept 12 at Gene Coulon
