26-5108 HR CIVIL
On 6/30/2026 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for
the City of Renton. I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run that had occurred prior at
Highlands Storage located at 3408 NE 4th St Renton/King/WA. Manager Janaya Mosby was
calling to report that someone had hit the office building.
I called Janaya and asked what happened, she said that on 6/28/2026 at 1956 hours a red
Chevrolet WA/D89770D backed into the main office building after helping a client move into a
storage unit. She said that the truck knocked three siding boards off the wall. She said based on
the surveillance footage,the vehicle stayed on scene for several minutes before eventually
Leaving. She said that the office building was unoccupied at the time of the collision.
Janaya said that she had reached out to the tenant who hired the movers and was not able to get
ahold of her. She identified her as Sunghee Choi and provided me with a phone number. I called
Sunghee and did not receive an answer.
I ran the plate provided by Janaya and it returned to a white 2004 Chevrolet Tilt Master registered
to a church in Seatac,WA. Janaya confirmed that the truck in the footage is a Chevrolet but that
it is red in color.
Janaya said that she did not wish to pursue charges for hit and run and that she just wanted a
case number and possibly the insurance information for the owner of the truck if identified.
I sent Janaya an Axon Link for the footage; at the time this report was completed I had not
received the footage.
