Unless otherwise noted,the following occurred within the city limits of Renton, county of King, state of
Washington.
On 07/02/2026, 1 was working as a uniformed police officer for the city of Renton.At approximately 0139
hours, I was dispatched to an unknown if injury motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Bronson Way N
and Meadow Ave N. Portions of my involvement in the incident were captured on my department-issued
bodycam.Any statements referred to have been paraphrased and summarized.
When I arrived on scene, I confirmed there were no injuries to either involved parties. I spoke to the driver of
unit 1,who advised he was in lane 3 on Bronson Way N, headed eastbound.At the intersection of Meadow
Ave N, he attempted to make a left-hand (northbound)turn, but was struck by unit 2.
1 spoke to the driver of unit 2, who advised he was in lane 1 of Bronson Way N, headed westbound. He
proceeded through the intersection at Meadow Ave N, but unit 1 turned in front of him, causing the collision.
I observed front end damage to unit 2. 1 observed passenger side damage to unit 1.This damage is consistent
with both accounts of the collision I received.
I captured photos of the scene and uploaded them to the case file via AXON Capture.
I cited the driver of unit 1 for violation of RCW 46.61.185—failure to yield on a left-hand turn. I routed the
citation to the prosecutor's queue.
