The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident l was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"on the front, "Renton Police"on the
back, with department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton
Police Velcro badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person
that I was a Police Officer.
On 7/2/2026 at 1551 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run collision at S 43rd St and East Valley Rd.
The victim, identified as Sandra S. South (DOB: 01/06/1950) by WA DL, stated that she was stopped
in the#2 lane of Westbound S 43rd St at East Valley Rd at a red light. South stated that while
stopped, an unknown make/model light colored crossover SUV collided with the rear bumper of her
2006 Toyota Scion (WA LP: CJY5934). South was unable to see a license plate or driver of the suspect
vehicle, which was last seen fleeing the collision Westbound on SW 43rd St past East Valley Rd.
This report is for insurance purposes only as the vehicle and suspect in this case cannot be identified.
