Unless stated otherwise, this incident occurred in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
During this incident, I was on duty as a Police Officer for the City of Renton and assigned to Patrol District R12.
1 was wearing a fully marked uniform and driving a fully marked vehicle. This incident was recorded with video
and audio. It is important to note that the camera may have captured things that I did not perceive, and I may
have perceived things that were not captured by the camera. The following is a summary of the events:
On 07/08/2026 at approximately 1852 hours, I was dispatched to a no-injury collision at Oakesdale Ave SW and
SW Grady Way. Driver 1 was identified by WA DOL as KEVIN N. FARRET-GOMEZ (DOB: 02/12/2002)and
Unit 1 was identified as 2016 SUBARU WRX (WA: CPD8278). Driver 2 was identified by WA DOL as
ABDULLAHI N. ALI (DOB: 01/01/1980)and Passenger 1 of Unit 2 was identified by WA DOL as HINDO A.
JAMA(DOB: 01/01/1981). Unit 2 was identified as 2026 HONDA CRV(WA: CTZ9324).
Upon arrival, I observed moderate damage to Unit 1's front-end and minor damage to Unit 2's rear-end. I took
photos of the damage and later uploaded them to evidence.com.
I interviewed Driver 1. In summary, Driver 1 was driving westbound on SW Grady Way in Lane 1 directly behind
Unit 2. Driver 1 approached the intersection of SW Grady Way and Oakesdale Ave SW, and observed a yellow
light at the intersection. Driver 1 thought that Unit 2 was going to continue through the yellow light, but Unit 2
ended up stopping. As a result, Driver 1 collided into Unit 2's rear-end. Driver 1 was not injured.
I interviewed Driver 2. In summary, Driver 2 was driving westbound on SW Grady Way in Lane 1. Driver 2
stopped for the yellow light and was rear-ended shortly after. Driver 2 and Passenger 1 of Unit 2 were not
injured.
Officers requested Renton Regional Fire Authority (RRFA)to respond as a precautionary. RRFA responded and
medically cleared all involved parties.
Both Driver 1 and Driver 2 provided the necessary information. In parting, I provided both Driver 1 and Driver 2
with the case number with instructions on how to retrieve the report.
This concludes my involvement on today's date.
