EH19057 CASE# 26-5332 OF COLLISION 07/08/26 19:40 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE 26-5332 Hit and run- unattended RTF Axon: Axon body cam video available Narrative: On 07.08.2026 at 1954 hours, I called Melanie Mirabel regarding a hit and run collision to her parked unoccupied car. The car was parked on the street in the 700 block of Edmonds AVE NE. This is within the city limits of Renton, County of King, WA. Mirabel told me that her car hit about 1940 hours and that her car was still at 800 Edmonds AVE NE. I told her that I would like to come and speak with her in person. Dispatch advised that the suspect plate on the vehicle was a silver Audi SUV WA/BUH7480. This vehicle is registered in Moses Lake to Stacy L Vanga. When I arrived, I advised Mirabel that our conversation was recorded. Mirabel was identified by her photo WADL as Melanie R Mirabel DOB/03.15.1977. Mirabel told me that she was watching her son's football practice when they heard a crash. Mirabel did not see the crash. Mirabel's vehicle is a white 2020 Chevrolet Equinox WA/CAY5690. Mirabel's car was legally parked UNOCCUPIED in the 700 block of Edmonds AVE NE on the east side of the street facing north. The impact of the collision took the driver's side mirror off the car. Mirabel provided her registration and proof of insurance. I gave Mirabel an exchange of information with the registered owner's information for the Audi. A witness, Emily Podolske left her name, phone number, and the plate of the suspect vehicle which she wrote was a silver Audi SUV WA/BUH7480. I called Emily Podolske. Podolske told me that she was driving near the community center on Edmonds AVE NE, when she saw the silver Audi SUV swerve and hit the white Chevrolet Equinox parked on the side of the road. Podolske sped up and followed the vehicle down NE 9 ST and was able to get a license plate of the suspect vehicle (WA/BUH7480). Podolske followed the vehicle as it turned left on Sunset Blvd NE but lost sight of it. Podolske returned to the community center and provided her information to Mirabel, the owner of the damaged car. Podolske told me that the damage on the Audi would be on the passenger side. Associated with WA/CAY5690 is an OLN of WDL131 N8803B for Stacy Lenise Vanga DOB/02.05.1983. Vanga's DOL address is 825 Sunset Blvd NE #A4 Renton, WA 98056. 1 went to 825 Sunset Blvd NE #A4 and found the Audi in the driveway. There is fresh damage to the front of the passenger sideview mirror. 1 spoke to Vanga who was up on a balcony and asked her to come speak with me. She matches the DOL picture on my computer. When Vanga came outside, I advised her that our contact was recorded. 1 told her that her car was involved in a collision by the community center on Edmonds AVE NE. I showed her the new damage to her passenger sideview mirror. Vanga told me that she's been home and wasn't driving the car. Vanga told me it was possible that a "friend" who she only knows as Chris Johnson might have been driving her car without permission. She describes Johnson as a light skinned black male, about 22-23, 57, 160 with an afro. She has no number for Johnson and doesn't know where he went. I asked Vanga if she has insurance for the car as she is the registered owner of the vehicle involved in a hit and run. Vanga does not have insurance and claims she hasn't been driving the car. During this incident I was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video. Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform jump suit was marked with "Police" both on the back, and department patches on each shoulder of the jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro badge on my left chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a Police Officer.
