PLACE RIPRAP SUPPLEMENTED BY IMPORTED ROCK TO THE SPECIFIED THICKNESS, WORKING FROM THE TOE UPWARDS TO THE CREST. ROCK SHALL BE MACHINE-PLACED (NOT END-DUMPED OR DROPPED FROM A HEIGHT EXCEEDING 3 FEET) TO PRODUCE A WELL-GRADED, TIGHTLY INTERLOCKING MASS WITH MINIMAL VOIDS AND TO PREVENT SEGREGATION OF ROCK SIZES. 5. PLACE 6-INCHES THICK LAYER OF TOPSOIL (SUPPLEMENTED BY IMPORTED TOPSOIL) ALONG THE CREST OF THE SLOPE AND PREVENT SLOUGHING WHILE MAINTAINING A VIABLE SEEDBED.
