On 7/17/2026 at 1718 hours I was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of
Logan Ave N and Park Ave N in the City of Renton, King County,Washington.
Pre-Collision
Driver 1 (Branden M. Battan; 5/21/84,verified by WADL) stated they were driving eastbound in
the 1 lane on Logan Ave N just west of the intersection with Park Ave N
Collision
Driver 1 stated as they were driving, they noticed a tree branch had fallen onto the truck's roof.
Driver 1 stopped due to the size of the branch.
Injuries
Driver 1 claimed to have no injuries.
Vehicle Disposition
Unit 1 (7905ZZ, GDAN Flatbed Truck) suffered damage to the roof of the vehicle. The bracket that
holds the oversized load sign, was damaged in two places.The bracket had not fallen off and
unit 1 was able to drive away. I uploaded photos of the tree branch on the vehicle to
evidence.com.
Proximate Cause
Based on my assessment Driver 1 was not the proximate cause for the incident. It appeared
based on the damage observed that the tree branch had fallen onto the vehicle.
