Narrative
I was working as a fully uniformed City of Renton Police Officer in a fully marked City of Renton
Police Car as unit#3R13.
This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 07/17/2026 at approximately 2148 hours, I was driving eastbound on Maple Valley HWY and
152nd AVE SE in the City of Renton, King County WA.
I observed 2 vehicles in the northeast side of the intersection;they were not moving and
appeared to have been in a collision.
I confirmed it was a collision and that there were no injuries, I then collected each involved
party's recollection of events.
Unit#1 (WA/BVA8286)was driven by Rose-Lyn G. Miraflor(DOB 04/14/1989 VIA WADOL),
Rose-Lyn stated she was behind unit#2, they were both turning northbound onto 152nd Ave SE
when an emergency vehicle entered the intersection with their lights and sirens activated, unit
#2 then turned to get out of the emergency vehicle's way and stopped in the roadway, Rose-Lyn
had to swerve and ultimately collided to the rear side of unit#2, causing minor damage.
Unit#2, (WA/BELIGHT)was driven by Huong T. Vu (DOB 05/03/1989 VIA WADOL). Huong told me
she was driving and turning northbound onto 152nd Ave SE, she observed an emergency vehicle
entering the intersection with their lights and sirens activated, due to this, she pulled to the right
and was ultimately hit in the rear passenger side by unit#1.
Both units provided me with their insurance information.
I find unit#1 to be the proximate cause of the collision, unit#1 should have left more space in
between her and unit#2.
Both cars were able to be driven away from the scene.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
