Narrative
During this incident, I was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video. Portions
of this incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an
exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system.
was operating a fully marked Police Tahoe#309 which was equipped with overhead emergency lights and
sirens. I was also wearing my department issued Renton Police uniform clearly identifies me as a Police
Officer.

On 07/22/2026 at approximately 2127 hours I was dispatched to an injury accident at SW Grady Way and
Rainier Ave S, within the City of Renton, King County,Washington.
Unit 1 in this collison was identified as a 2008 GMC Acadia (WA/LIC: CPY8770 VIN#1GKEV33758J194424).The
driver of unit 1 was identified as Tyree J Bagley(DOB 09/11/1991). Bagley had no obvious damage to his
vehicle and reported no injuries. Bagley did not have insurance for his vehicle.
Unit 2 in this collision was identified as a 2008 Lexus RX(WA/LIC: CSDO182 VIN#JTJHK31UX82047405).The
driver of unit 2 was identified as Veranique Lewis (DOB 06/03/1979). Lewis'vehicle had a very minor abrasion
on the rear bumper and reported leg and back pain. Lewis was evaluated by fire and had no obvious injuries.
Both parties explained that they were on S Grady Way traveling westbound at Rainier Ave S. Unit 2 was
stopped at the light and unit 1 failed to stop and rear ended unit 2. Unit 1 advised he was traveling extremely
slow which would make sense with the damage seen. Unit 2 advised me that unit 1 was traveling around 40
mph which I find unlikely due to the extent of damage seen.The proximate cause of this collison was unit 1
failing to recognize that unit 2 was stopped which caused him to be unable to stop in time.
Both drivers were able to drive their vehicles away after the collision. I gave unit 1 a verbal warning for the
insurance.
