1 was working as a fully uniformed City of Renton Police Officer in a fully marked City of Renton, Police
Car as unit K939.Working in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.Statements
have been paraphrased and summarized.At the time of this call my body worn camera was not
activated.
On 7/24/2026, at 1700 hours, I was dispatched to NE Sunset Blvd/Duval Ave NE for a report of a two-car
motor vehicle collision just west of the intersection.The call notes read; 2 MVA.... LINK INYS IN OTHER
VEH, (M)RP MOVED TO ARCO AM PM.... RP'S VEH:WHI TOYT COROLLA @BRW7621 /OTHER INV:TAN
SENDAN L/UNK... LOST VISUAL OF OTHER INV.. POSS ACCHR.
I arrived at 1537 Duvall Ave NE at the Arco Am PM gas station. In the parking lot I saw a white 2017,
Toyota Corolla (WA plate BRW7621). I contacted the victim and driver who was identified as Megan E
Cofer(DOB 03/12/1993). Megan stated the other vehicle had left the scene of the accident. Megan
described the vehicle as an unknown make and model tan sedan. Megan did not get the license plate
from the car, and she did not see who was driving.
Megan stated she was in the left-hand turn lane of Sunset Blvd NE,waiting to turn North onto Duvall Ave
NE to go to Newcastle.The suspect drove from the parking lot of the rainbow car wash and attempted to
drive around Megan's car through a gap in the medium in the road.While doing so the suspects car hit
Megan's left rear passenger door,tire, and left rear quarter panel.The suspects'vehicle pushed Megan's
into the medium, causing the left front tire to strike the yellow medium.
Meagan states the suspect car left the scene in an unknown direction. I took photos of the damage to

Megan's car and later uploaded them to evidence.com. I had Renton Fire dispatched to the location for a
medical evaluation of Megan due to her being in a collision. Renton Fire medically cleared Megan. I
provided Megan with a business car with a case number on it.There is not any further suspect
description at this time.This ends my report.
