NARRATIVE
Case 26-5918
1 was working as a fully uniformed City of Renton Police Officer in a fully marked City of Renton,
Police Car as unit 1 R24. Working in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. At the time of this call my body worn camera
was activated.
On 7/29/2026, at 1702 hours, I was dispatched to Maple Valley Highway and 140th Way SE for a
report of a Tesla employee following a unreported stolen Tessa Cybertruck. The call notes read;
NOW, RP FOLLOWING UNREPORTED STOLEN FROM DEALER LOT, 74068G/TESLA CYBER
TRUCK. (M)BM/GOLDBRO HOODIE/UNK IF WEP, JUST DISCOVERED STOLEN FROM LOT THIS
MORNING. APPROACHING 131ST (M)NOW PASSING MAPLEWOOD GOLF COURSE. RP IN
WHITE TESLA MODEL S FOLLOWING. (M)PASSING MONROE AVE.
I drove in the direction of Maple Valley Highway and was driving northbound on Houser Way North
when I heard over the radio that Officer Stoverud-Myers and Officer Petty were behind the stolen
Tesla Cybertruck. The truck was bearing (WA plate D74068G). I overheard over the radio that Officer
Stoverud-Myers and Officer Petty attempted a traffic stop on the Cybertruck. The Cybertruck took off
at a high rate of speed westbound on Maple Valley Highway. Officer Mollenberg and I drove priority
from Houser Way N and turned right onto Bronson Way N that then turned right onto Maple Valley
Highway. I was behind Officer Mollenberg in the eastbound lanes of Maple Valley Highway when I
saw the Cybertruck fleeing at a high rate of speed in the westbound lanes. I flipped a U-turn behind
Officer Mollenberg and got into the westbound lanes of Maple Valley Highway, right under 1-405. 1
saw the Cybertruck collided with a red 1996, Ford Thunderbird (WA plate AFD1314), turning right
from Maple Valley Highway onto Sunset Blvd North. The Cybertruck hit the driver's side mirror and
broke the mirror.
Officer Stoverud-Myers and Officer Petty stayed with the Thunderbird to collect the driver's
information. The driver was identified as Zachary T Pichette (DOB 04/13/1993), out of Texas. Officer
Stoverud-Myers took photos of the damage to Zachary's vehicle. Officer Mollenbeg and I followed
the Cybertruck from a distance. Officer Mollenberg and I saw debris from a collision in the
intersection of North 3rd Street and Sunset Blvd North. I saw red, 2005 Toyota Corolla Matrix (WA
plate AZV7348), pulled off to the side of NE 3rd Street, just under the 1-405 overpass. 1 saw the
vehicle had severe front end damage and I saw that the driver's side airbag had been deployed. I saw
that there was a large amount of fluid running from under the vehicle.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla Matrix was identified as Paula M Harwood (DOB 10/29/1969). Paula
stated she was driving through the intersection of NE 3rd ST and Sunset Blvd N, when the Cybertruck
blew the red light at Sunset Blvd N and NE 3rd Street colliding with the front of Paula's vehicle. Paula
stated the Cybertruck continued northbound on Sunset Blvd NE. Paula drove up to the right-hand
side of NE 3rd Street. Paula was able to drive her vehicle to 1901 NE Third Street. Once there
provided her with a case number and I had Renton Fire dispatch out to evaluate Paula medically due
to airbag deployment. I also had Gene Myers come to the location and tow her vehicle. Paula was
cleared medically by fire.
While I was assisting Paula with the collision. I heard over the radio the description of the suspect.
The description was aired as a black male wearing a gray or tan Hoodie wearing a goldish doo rag. 1
saw a male matching that description, walking westbound on the northbound side of NE 3rd Street.
The male was not wearing the doo rag but was wearing a goldish sweatshirt and matching pants. I
saw Sgt Tibeau was just west of the suspect in traffic. I walked across all lanes of traffic and with Sgt

NARRATIVE
Tibeau contacted the male on the sidewalk just before the underpass of 1-405. SGT Tibeau asked the
male if he had any weapons on him, and the male stated he had a knife on him. SGT Tibeau and
placed the male's hand behind his back, and 1 placed hand cuffs on his wrists. I advised the male he
was being detained for an investigation. I and SGT Tibeau did a frisk of the male for any weapons. I
located a large, fixed blade knife in the sweatshirt pocket of the male, and small folding knife tied on
the suspects draw strings to his pants. In the process of frisking for weapons, I found a hard square
shape in the suspect's sweatshirt pocket that appeared to be a card like a debit or credit card with the
word Tesla on it.
I read the male his Miranda rights via my department issued code book at 1732 hours. The male
stated he understood his rights and invoked them and did want to speak to me. The male was
fingerprinted using a AFIS fingerprint scanner and was identified as Mohamed L S Ahmed (DOB
05/20/1991). After Mohamed was identified as the driver of the Tesla by the reporting party, he was
told he was under arrest by SGT Tibeau and was thoroughly searched by Officer Rivera. Mohamed
was placed in the back of Officer Rivera's patrol car.
Mohamed was later transported to Renton City Hall and later to the King County Jail. Please refer to
Officer Stoverud-Myers for charges and any further details. I completed a SECTOR Collison for hit
and run. This ends my report.
