1.ALL NEW VEHICLE SIGNAL HEADS SHALL BE ALUMINUM,
PAINTED TRAFFIC YELLOW, LED TYPE, USE TUNNEL VISORS,
BACKPLATES, SQUARE DOORS, BACKPLATES, AND USE
MOUNTING TYPE "M" (MAST ARM MOUNT). BACKPLATES SHALL
BE EQUIPPED WITH 1" WIDE YELLOW RETROREFLECTIVE
BACKPLATE TAPE AND FRONT OF BACKPLATE SHALL BE
PAINTED BLACK AND BACK OF BACKPLATE SHALL BE PAINTED
TRAFFIC YELLOW.
2.ALL NEW PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL HEADS SHALL BE LED TYPE WITH
COUNTDOWN DISPLAYS, SOLID SYMBOLS, BE EQUIPPED WITH
Z" CRATE VISORS AND USE MOUNTING TYPE "D" (TOP MOUNT).

1.I/O MAPPING AND ASSIGNMENT OF LOAD SWITCHES TO IMPLEMENT THE ABOVE NOTED SIGNAL SEQUENCING
SHALL BE PER SIEMENS/SEPAC RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE "HAWK PED SIGNAL USING SEPAC."

GENERAL SIGNAL NOTES:
1.ALL NEW POLE AND CABINET FOUNDATION LOCATIONS SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO EXCAVATION.
CONTRACTOR SHALL CHECK FOR MINIMUM OVERHEAD CLEARANCE OF 16'6" FOR ALL SIGNAL HEADS ABOVE THE STREET
PRIOR TO POURING OF THE MAST ARM POLE FOUNDATIONS.
4.ALL TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND PEDESTRIAN HEADS AND PUSH BUTTONS SHALL BE SECURELY AND COMPLETELY COVERED WITH
WHITE, YELLOW, OR TAN MATERIAL WHILE NOT IN OPERATION.
5.ALL CONDUCTORS FOR SIGNAL HEADS, PEDESTRIAN HEADS, PUSH BUTTONS AND STREET LIGHTS SHALL BE LABELED IN EACH
JUNCTION BOX.
6.FOR SIGNAL SYSTEMS COORDINATION WITH THE CITY OF RENTON, CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT TRANSPORTATION
MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT MANAGER.
