CALL TO ORDER
Cynthia Burns, Chair, called the June meeting to order at 4:3� p.m.
APPRQVAL QF MINUTES
Michael O'Donin made a motion seconded by Ralph E�ans to appro�e the May
minutes as submitted. AI! present were in fa�or, motion carried, minutes
appro�ed.
AUDIENCE COMMENT
Syl�ia Allen introduced Vince and Justin, members of the Renton Youth Council.
5he noted members of the Yauth Council would rafate attending the Park Board
meetings.

Dennis Culp, Community Services Administrator, re�iewed correspondence fram
Cascade Vista At�letic Club and Aiexei Girsh, Concert Opera of Seattle.

CONSENT
Four items were submitted for consideration to the Board. Mr. Culp re�iewed the
consent agenda requests. Ralph Evans made a motion to adopt ti�e consent
agenda with staff recammendations, Marge Richt�r seconded the motion, al!
were in favor, motion carried, the consent agenda was appro�ed.

There was discussion about potential budget cuts shoutd the Tim Eymann
initiati�e go on the ballot reducing property taxes by 25%. That would indicate a
5 million dollar budget shortfall to the City. D�nnis Cuip explained there would be
numerous cuts in programs and services. Cynthia Burns inquired if the public
would be notified prior to an election of the impact.
The aquatic center opening and segway use in our parks was discussed, The
Farmers Market will open next week and free par�cing is offered a# the garage
and a banner is displayed to aler� patrons.
