AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ANNE7CING
CERTAIN TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF RENTON (WINSPER ""i

WHEREAS, under the provisions of RCW 35A. 14 . 120 as amended, a �
a

�
petition in writing requesting that certain territory contiguous to "'

the City of Renton, as described below, be annexed to the City of ,�

Renton, was presented and filed with the City Clerk on or about May

10, 1993; and '�
�
WHEREAS, prior to the filing and circulation of said petition
� for annexation to the City of Renton, the petitioning owners
� notified t�he City Council of their intention to commence such
, �
� proceedings as provided by law, and as more particularly specified
�
� in RCW 35A. 14 . 120, and upon public hearing thereon, it having been
�.,. �
� determined and the petitioning owners having agreed to assume the
pre-existing bonded indeb�edness of the City of Renton as it
r
pertains to the territory g�etitioned to be annexed; and to accept
that portion of the City' s �omprehensive Plan as it pertains to the
territory including the applicable Zoning Code relating thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Development Services Division has examined and
verified the signatures on the petition for annexation and
determined the assessed valuation of all the properties, the same
being in excess of sixty percent { 60�) of the area to be annexed, in

value, as provided by law, and the petition also setting forth the
legal description of the property according to government legal
subdivision or plat, and the Development Services Division of the

City of Renton having considered and recommended the annexing of
said property to the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, the City Council fixed September 19, 1994 at 7 : 30 P.M.
as the time and place for public hearing in the City Council
Chambers, City Hall, Renton, Washington, upon the petition and
notice thereof having been given as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said notices public hearings have been
held at the time and place specified in the notices, and the Council
having considered all matters in connection with the petition and
further determined that all legal requirements and procedures of the
law applicable to the petition method for annexation have been met;

� WHEREAS, a "Notice of Intention" having been filed with the
� King County Boundary Review Board as required by law, and the
�
� Bo�:ndary Review Eoard �:�J17ICJ taken juri�diction over the annexation

� and having approved the annexation as per its decision dated
September 8 , 1994;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The findings, recitals, and determinations are
hereby found to be true and correct in all respects . All
requirements of the law in regard to the annexation by petition
method, including the provisions of RCW 35A. 14 . 120, 130, 140 and
150, have been met. It is further determined that the petition for
annexation to the City of Renton of the property and territory
described below is hereby approved and granted; the following

described property being contiguous to the city limits of the City
of Renton is hereby annexed to the City of Renton, and such
annexation to be effective on and after the approval, passage, and
publication of this Ordinance; and on and after said date the
property shall constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be
subject to all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force
and effect; the property being described as follows :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as
if fully set forth herein
( Said property, approximately 115 acres , is located east
of Talbot Road, south of existing City boundary and north
of South 175th Street)
and the owners-petitioners of the property shall assume the pre-
existing bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton as prescribed in
RCW 35 . 13 . 126 as it pertains to the property, and the property to be
subject to the City' s Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
� passage, approval, and five days after its publication.

WINSPER ASJNEXATION
That portion of Section 29 and 30, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M., King
County, Washington described as follows:
Beginning at thc northwcst corner of the southwest quarter of said Section 29, said
corner also being the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of said Section 30;
Thence N 89° 16' 32" E. along the north line of said southwest quarter, said line being
the existing City limits of Renton as annexed by Ordinance # 1971, to the northeast
corner of the west one-half(1/2) of said southwest quarter;
Thence southerly along the east line of said west one-half to an intersection with the
northwesterly right-of-way line of Carr Road (103rd Ave. S�;
Thence southwesterly along said northwesterly right-of-way line to an intersection with
the south line of Section 29;
Thence westerly along the south line of said Section 29 to the southwest corner thereof,
said southwest corner also being the southeasE corner of said Section 30;
Thencc continuing westerly along the south line of said Section 30 to an intersection
� with the e�sting westcrly right-of-way line of 96th. Ave. South (Talbo[ Road South)
� having a width of 70 feet;

� Thence northerly along.said existing right-of-way line, a distance of 64.46 feet, more or
� less;
„� Thence S 72° 49' 04" E, a distance of 10 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the
s�+ cxisting westerly right-of-way line, having a width of 60 feet;

Thence northerly along said westerly right-of-way line, said right-of-way line also being
the existing City limits of Renton as annexed by Ordinance #1743, to an intersection
with the north line of the southeast quarter of said Section 30;
Thence easterly along Lhe north line of said southeast quarter and along the existing City
limits as annexed by Ordinance #1Q71 to the nor[heast corner thereof, and the point of
beginning.
Except that portion of 96th Ave. South (Talbot Road South) deeded to the City of Renton
by King County Recording No. 7208250391, adjacent to the easterly boundary line of
Parcel "A", CRSP 78-213 (King County Recording No. 7812149018), and previously
annexed to the City by Ordinance No. 1743.
