King County DNRP, Parks and Recreation Division, is proposing to complete an expansion of existing over-water trails at May Creek. The May Creek Trestle Rehabilitation Project includes
the repair and retrofit of the existing May Creek trestle for use as a King County trail bridge. The bridge was historically used as a railroad bridge and currently still supports railroad
tracks. The bridge is planned to become a part of the multi-use Eastside Rail Corridor in Renton. The May Creek trestle is approximately 60 feet long and 13 feet wide and is composed
of timber pilings/columns, steel pile caps, timber stringers, timber railroad ties and steel railroad tracks. The project is located in the Residential-10 (R-10) zone.
