4. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE PLACEMENT AND LIMITS OF BIORETENTION TOPSOIL AND TOPSOIL TYPE A. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY
LIMITS OF WORK, EXAMINE FINISH SURFACE, GRADES, TOPSOIL QUALITY AND DEPTH. DO NOT START ANY WORK UNTIL
UNSATISFACTORY CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN CORRECTED.
5. REMOVE EXISTING WEEDS FROM PLANTER ISLANDS PRIOR TO THE ADDITION OF SOIL AMENDMENTS, FERTILIZER, AND SHREDDED BARK
MULCH. APPLY AMENDMENTS AND FERTILIZER PER THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE SOIL ANALYSIS TEST.
6. CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN WRITTEN APPROVAL FOR PLANT MATERIAL SUBSTITUTIONS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
7. ALL PLANTS TO BE NURSERY GROWN AND SIMILAR SIZE AND FORM. FULL SIZED CONTAINERS ONLY — NO TRADE SIZES ALLOWED.
MEASUREMENTS, AND GRADING QUALITY AND FOLLOW THE AMERICAN STANDARD OF NURSERY STOCK BY THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION
OF NURSERYMEN, LATEST EDITION.
8. PREPARE AREAS TO BE PLANTED ACCORDING TO PLANT REQUIREMENTS. PLANTS ARE TO BE PLANTED STRAIGHT AND PLUMB PER
STANDARD PLANTING DETAILS.
9. ENTIRE PLANTER ISLANDS ARE TO RECEIVE 3" DEPTH OF SHREDDED BARK MULCH EXCEPT WHERE GRAVEL IS SHOWN — SEE CIVIL
DRAWINGS FOR GRAVEL PROFILE.
10. DAMAGED PLANTS WILL BE REJECTED AND ARE TO BE REPLACED AT NO COST TO THE OWNER, REGARDLESS OF CAUSE, IMMEDIATELY
UPON NOTIFICATION BY THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER.
11. LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE PERIOD BEGINS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE COMPLETION OF PLANTING OPERATIONS AND WRITTEN NOTIFICATION
IS RECEIVED AND ACCEPTED BY THE OWNER FOR SUBSTANTIAL COMLETION. MAINTAIN SHRUBS AND EMERGENTS DURING THE 2—YEAR
