As neighbors we have a major concern, that is not addressed in the traffic study, of a large volume of traffic pouring though a previous dead end street. There is no through access from Patriot Way, West bound, currently leaving Liberty High School. All student, teacher, and bus traffic must go North on Patriot Way or East on SE 136t" St. With the proposed Maple Highland Plat a new West bound connection will be complete from Liberty High School through a quiet residential area that services 20-25 comes. Attached is a drawing of the streets as described here. Heading west bound from the only exit from Liberty High School on SE 136'" the street dead ends and turns 90 degrees north on 166' Ave SE for about 100 feet,- then dead ends and turns 90 degrees west again for a short block; then dead ends and turns north 90 degrees again for another 200 feet where it dead ends to the Maple Highland Plat. When we look at the only access streets to Liberty High School of Patrict Way to the North and SE136thd Ave to the East-, by opening SE 136'1' to the West we expect more than 100 trips a day cutting through SE 136th Street and connecting through Skyhorse and h1aple Highlands Plat. We request access not be allowed to connect through 1641 Ave SE entering or leaving Maple Highland Plat. That a permanent blocked street access be implemented This would allow pedestrian and bike access only.
