To: ALL PLAN HOLDERS AND/OR PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
ATTENTION: ALL BIDDERS AND PLAN HOLDERS:

Proposal will be considered irregular and will be rejected if the Schedule of Prices included in
this Addendum is not completed and submitted with the Proposal.
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ARE MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS:
1) BIDDER QUESTIONS
a) Bidder Inquiry No.78- Floor infill structural and extents. The only place this is indicated
on the plans is in detail 16/A50. There are no structural drawings to tell us how to infill
the floor. The location and extents are not indicated on the floor plans. On the second
floor, is this part of the stairwell and what are the expected finishes? We have no
architectural work on the 3rd and 4th floor, but maybe we are filling in at the 3rd —are
we filling in the 4th? What are the floor finishes up there? Are there walls moving
around the hoist-way enclosure? I don't know what I need to do and I have no way to
talk through with subs what I expect them to do. Also, I have no way of knowing that
other GC's are even including this work.

City of Renton Response to Bidder Inquiry No.78—The only infill is on the second floor
at the existing hoistway (north of the stair landing). See revised Sheet A11 and
Sheet A50.
b) Bidder Inquiry No.79-Types and extents of finishes and repairs in the 3rd and 4th floors
for work on those levels. This is partially led by the in-fill questions above, but the plans
don't clearly indicate any work other than window changes and MEP rerouting at these
levels. However, when we remove the windows in L3, but the plans don't show any in-
fill of the wall —should we leave the openings, exposing the backside of our new
exterior system or infill, and with what? What are the finishes is those upper areas that
we need to repair? There is a data/equipment room that we need to carry out demo
and repair work around but the equipment layout isn't indicated. The fairest manner for
us to bid this work is for all bidders to have a clear understanding, from the documents,
what is expected.
City of Renton Response to Bidder Inquiry No.79— Repairs, patching and painting
required by installation of specified equipment and mechanical removal and/or
installation, on the 3rd and 41" floors, shall be paint and drywall to match existing;
paint shall be touchup at these areas only. At third floor window infill, see detail
1/A52 for similar infill wall detail. Interior GWB to align with existing GWB, tape, and
texture to match existing. Paint entire wall where window replacement occurs.
c) Bidder Inquiry No.81-08 33 00 2.2.A.1 defines the overhead coiling door as motor-
operated, however there do not appear to be controls or power supply indicated on the
electrical drawings. Please clarify whether this grille is to be motorized and its
circuiting/controls.
City of Renton Response to Bidder Inquiry No.81—Contractor to provide circuit and
amperage to the motorized overhead grill, see revised Sheets E12 and E56.
d) Bidder Inquiry No.87- Page 2 of the Bid Form includes the paragraph below that
references liquidated damages will be $1,400 per calendar day, but the specs call them
out as $1,000 per calendar day. Please confirm the bid form should say they are $1,000
per calendar day.
