Renton's annual Clean Sweep Program is now in effect through December 28, 2019. Schedule one pickup of extra garbage for free! For more information, including a list of items that qualify and do not qualify for this event, visit rentonwa.gov/cleansweep. SAVE THE DATE — Spring Recycle Day, Saturday, May 11. The Solid Waste Utility will hold its annual spring recycle event in the Renton Technical College north parking lot located at NE 6th Place and Monroe Avenue NE from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this event, non-perishable food items will also be collected for the Renton Food Bank. For more information, including a list of acceptable and unacceptable materials, please visit our website at rentonwa.gov/springrecycle, or contact the Solid Waste Utility at 425-430-7398. Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic. Road closure on South 14th Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility construction. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 206-282-2373. ✓ Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Single lane closures on Talbot Road South in the vicinity of Valley Medical Hospital related to the construction of the new Medical Office Building. Questions may be directed to Tom Main at 206-999-1833. ✓ Tuesday, April 23 through Friday, April 26, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Maintenance crews will be conducting preventative maintenance on the sewer line along Talbot Road South from South 55th Street/SE 192nd Street northbound to South 177th Street (past Valley Medical Center). Flaggers will be onsite for traffic control. ✓ Monday, April 22 through May 31. Pavement restoration related to the Renton Hill Utility Replacement Project has begun. The project is scheduled to be completed in May, but pavement restoration is dependent on weather conditions.
