Get some assistance with your spring cleaning! Renton's annual Clean Sweep
Program is now in effect through December 28, 2019. Schedule one pickup of extra
garbage for free! For more information, including a list of items that qualify and do
not qualify for this event, visit rentonwa.gov/cleansweep.
The Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency
have determined the city will retain its current Class 5 community in the National
Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Community Rating System. The floodplain
management activities implemented by our community will continue to qualify city
flood insurance policy holders for a 25% discount in the premium costs for NFIP
policies issued or renewed in special flood hazard areas.
Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic.
Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures will be at
the following locations:
✓ Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, specific date unknown at this time.
24-hour required single lane closure. Overnight center lane closure at 6200 block
of NE 4th Street for concrete roadway construction. Questions may be directed

✓ Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19. Road closure on South 14th Street
between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility construction.

✓ Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Intermittent
lane closures between South 132nd Street and South 130th Street for utility

✓ Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single lane
closures on 156th Avenue SE between SE 130th Street and SE 132nd Street due
to utility construction. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 206-282-
2373.
✓ Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Street
maintenance crews will be conducting sidewalk repairs along Hoquiam Avenue
NE. Expect intermittent lane closures in both directions between NE 6th Street
and NE 6th Place.
✓ Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Double lane
closure in the westbound lanes of Puget Drive SE at the 1500 block due to utility
construction. Questions may be directed to Tom Main at 206-999-1833.
✓ Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Northbound
single lane closure at the 3400 block of Lake Washington Blvd due to roadway
construction. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 206-282-2373.
✓ Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Single lane
closures on Talbot Road South in the vicinity of Valley Medical Hospital related to
the construction of the new Medical Office Building. Questions may be directed

✓ Monday, April 15 through May 31. Pavement restoration related to the Renton
Hill Utility Replacement Project has begun. The project is scheduled to be
completed in May, but pavement restoration is dependent on weather
