WSDOT Exchange Property
Conveyor belt shut-down, today due to too much material on site and construction of new
belt extension..
Thunder Hill Creek and Mine
7:00 – Arrived on site, NB/I-405 shoulder, below the WSDOT Exchange Property, where
Malcolm Drilling crew and drill rig were also on site. Wayne Broughton, Malcolm Drilling
Superintendent, Joel Theodore, CH2Hill, and Matt, Merlino, Foreman.
7:30 – Drill rig used steel casing to clean sides and plumb # 2 shaft.
8:15 – Lisa Hodgeson, Chad Brown, Jeff Lavinder on site.
Drill rig used an auger to clean debris from the bottom of the shaft. Water below was free
flowing.
9:00 – Malcolm crew continued to work on plumbing the sides of the shaft.
9:45 - Pulled steel casing from well #2 and cut window in lower side of the casing.
10:30 – Used auger to clean sump at bottom of well #2 and replaced debris with drain rock.
