HomeMy WebLinkAboutIDRFR9-8-09 IDR Sheet of Sheets Final Record Book Page Contract 7624 Day Tuesday Date 9/8/09 WSDOT Exchange Property City Transfer crew continued to use the conveyor belt to move native soils from the Rolling Hills excavation. Material was placed by a track hoe to the area above the conveyor belt and a dozer spread soil along this bench. A roller compacted the material. Because of heavy rain over the week-end, no layers were placed on the soil reinforced slope this morning. Some discussion occurred among City transfer and Merlino crew about whether to proceed with today’s embankment work or come back tomorrow when the grade is drier. They decided continue work and scrape ponded water from the surface grade at Elev 183 between Sta. 11+75 to 13+00. Some erosion on the side slopes was observed. Silt in the drainage ditch and and rock lined ditch to the I- 405 shoulder below. 9:00 – Dan Quehl, Mayes Inspector on site. Dan said City Transfer crew worked Saturday and placed two geogrid layers. 9:30 – Ken Viren, WSDOT not on site, today. 11:00 – Dan Lonsdale on site. Benson Hill Road Gary Merlino crew continued excavation of the hillside east of the roadway and dumping it on the west side. Two flaggers were used for traffic control. Traffic, on both north and southbound lanes, was stopped for several minutes to place material. After noon, this material was transported to the conveyor belt. 2:00 - Traffic control was removed from Benson Road. Rolling Hills A dozer and track hoe continued to excavate to hillside north of the Benson Hill Bridge and along the northbound lanes.
