Come meet Renton Police Officers at Coffee with a Cop. The mission is to break
down barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing
agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to
know the officers in your neighborhood. The next Coffee with a Cop will take place
on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Everest Tea & Coffee House, 200 SW
43rd Street in Renton.
Visit the Renton Senior Activity Center for Newcomers Hour on May 17 at 10 a.m.
Meet in the lobby for a free tour where you will meet the staff and learn about the
programs and activities available. Visit rentonwa.gov/rsac for more information. The
Renton Senior Activity Center is located at 211 Burnett Avenue North.
SAVE THE DATE – Reuse it! Renton Stop & Swap, Saturday, June 1. The Solid Waste
Utility will hold its annual Reuse it! Renton Stop & Swap one‐day reuse event from
10 a.m. to 2p.m. in the Renton Memorial Stadium main parking lot, located at 405
Logan Avenue North. For more information, including a list of acceptable and
unacceptable items, please visit our website at www.rentonwa.gov/stopandswap, or
contact the Solid Waste Utility at 425‐430‐7396. Keep usable items out of the
landfill! Your trash may be someone’s treasure.
Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic.

the following locations:
Monday, May 13. The westbound curb lane of NE 4th Street between Union
Avenue NE and Olympia Avenue NE will be closed to allow crews to conduct
preventative maintenance on sewer lines.

Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Expect lane
reductions along Talbot Road South in the vicinity of Valley Medical Center to
allow crews to conduct preventative maintenance on utility lines.
Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single lane
closure on 156th Avenue SE between SE 130th Street and SE 132nd Street due to
utility construction. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 206‐282‐2373.
Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17. Road closure on South 14th Street
between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility construction.

Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Single lane
closure on East Valley Road between SW 19th Street and Taylor Avenue SW for
the I‐405 Direct Connector Project. One lane of East Valley Road will remain
open with flaggers directing traffic through the worksite. Questions may be

Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Intermittent
lane closures between South 132nd Street and South 130th Street for utility

Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Northbound
single lane closure at the 1200 block and 3400 block of Lake Washington Blvd
due to roadway construction. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 206‐

Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Single lane
closure on Talbot Road South in the vicinity of Valley Medical Hospital related to
the construction of the new Medical Office Building. Questions may be directed

Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single lane
closure on South 7th Street between Cedar Avenue South and Renton Avenue SE
due to roadway construction. Questions may be directed to Todd Freih at 206‐

Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The roadways
within the neighborhood bordered by 116th Avenue SE, 125th Avenue SE, SE
164th Street, and SE 168th Street have been ground down and are rough due to
paving activities for the water main replacement work performed by Soos Creek

Monday, May 13 through May 31. Pavement restoration related to the Renton
Hill Utility Replacement Project has begun. The project is scheduled to be
completed in May, but pavement restoration is dependent on weather
conditions. For a proposed schedule and updates on the restoration project,

Monday, May 13 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Intermittent single and
double lane closures along Logan Avenue North between North 6th Street and
near Garden Avenue North in support of the King County Eastside Sewer
Interceptor Rehabilitation project. Questions may be directed to Pat Miller at

Monday, May 13 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Full road closure on
Burnett Avenue North at North 6th Street in support of the King County Eastside
Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation project. Both the City of Renton and King
County’s Wastewater Division have reached out to property owners along the
approved detour route and to affected parties providing advanced notification of
the proposed road closure and detour route. In addition, notification was
provided in the Renton Reporter and signage will be provided in the field prior to
roadway closure. Resolution 4378 has been approved by City Council for the
roadway closure of Burnett Avenue North. Questions may be directed to Pat
