Good Afternoon,
The following costs were questioned at the Finance Committee dated 4/24/2017.Additional information was obtained to
further explain the purpose behind the expenditures.
Linked In 6000.00
6,000 to pay for a year long contract with Linked In that will increase Renton’s job posting visibility and enhance the
city’s diversity and inclusion efforts as part of the city’s Business Plan,and increase the quality and size of HR’s applicant
pool for more specialized and higher level jobs.
The HRRM team is excited to be able to further utilize this social media platform to reach passive not currently actively
looking)candidates as well as highly skilled/educated candidates.Unlike free postings like the AWC jobnet website,
LinkedIn is accessed by candidates currently employed in the private sector that might not be aware of the benefits of a
career in public service.The City of Renton has used LinkedIn advertising in the past,but at a greater cost 399/job
posting).Our new annual license will allow us to post up to 8 postings per month,at a cost of 62.50/job posting;a
substantial savings.
Auto Trim Design Late Fees of 9.54
In this instance a department worked directly with the vendor for the worked performed.Because our fleet services
department was not included in the communication of the work,they were not aware of the outstanding invoice until a
late statement was sent informing us of the past due amount.Fleet Services immediately processed the statement for
payment.
Suburban Propane 918.25
This was for 122.8 gallons of propane at 6.737/gallon.This propane is used at the golf course for all gas powered field
equipment,vehicles and mowers.The golf course has an actual fuel tank that has scheduled deliveries 2 to 3 times each
week.Due to the fact this is a delivery of fuel,the cost per gallon is a bit more.
