4. Discussion/Action Discussion/Action Items
a. Ikuta plaque placement
Marge and Debbie decided that the Ikuta plaque will be placed in the newly renovated
coffee bar.This will allow for a bigger plaque to be purchased and displayed.
b. Checking Account
Checking Account is now closed
c. Alternative coffee cups
Vicki feels that paper cups with lids are much better than using ceramic coffee mugs
when walking around facility. Sean will continue to purchase paper cups. And do
research on purchasing sleeves for paper cups when coffee gets too hot.
d. Citywide Volunteer Recognition Event/Dinner—April 17th at the Pavilion Event Center.
Invitations will be sent out to each board member.

Marge will be going to City Clerks office to see if they have a copy of City of Renton
Senior Activity Center ordinance for construction. She will also look through any folders
for photos of building construction. Time capsule is buried near the flag pole, Debbie will
check to see if the time capsule can be dug up for the 4[t»year anniversary instead of
50tx year anniversary.

Carrie N is planning a retreat for Advisory Board. Roberta Graver will be joining to do a
small presentation for board rules.
h. Interviews for new board members
Marge is currently recruiting interview panel
5. Information

Double guide will come out in summer of 2019. Goal is to merge both What's Happening
and Golden Opportunities. Table of comparison of both brochures were provided.

Installation was done during President's Day and is now complete. Looping System will
help xvitht-coi|ed hearing aids and will make no change to hearing aids without t-cmi|s.
Debbie has a few pamphlets with information on new looping system.

Handouts of timeline and plan of remodel were passed out
