Scope of Work
Prepare Traffic Control Plans and Street Use Permit for field operations and submit to City of Renton.
Perform FWD testing along all travel lanes between NE 4th Street and NE 10th Street.Tests will be performed on approximately 200 foot intervals.
Testing to consist of 3 drops at each location.GPS readings will be taken at each test location.Mark locations of 8 pavement cores and arrange for utility locates.
Core pavement in 8 locations using 6-inch diameter core, and perform hand auger explorations to depths of about 3 to 4 feet at each location.Cores will be patched with minimum 6 inch
thickness ofrapid-setting concrete.Generate logs ofpavement cores and perform engineering analyses to determine engineering properties of the subgrade soils and existing pavement structure.
Prepare a report presenting the results of the field testing (including FWD deflection readings, backcalculated resilient moduli of the subgrade, and logs of pavement cores),and
recommendations pertaining to the proposed overlay. We will also include discussion regarding areas that should be reconstructed as opposed to rehabilitated.
