Subject:6/17/2019 Finance Committee Follow Up
Good Afternoon,
The following costs were questioned at the Finance Committee dated 6/17/2019. Additional information was obtained
to further explain the purpose behind the expenditures.
Great Floors ‐ $23,936.99
Costs are associated with the replacement of the carpet at the Maplewood Golf Course. Carpet was replaced in
the hallway, lobby and management offices.
Kent D Bruce Co LLC ‐ $835.96
This was to retrofit Airport 1 with an 800 MHz radio (police/fire), city radio, and aviation radio. Airport staff
found that during the Airport drill (and the most recent crash) that the ability to listen to all radio chatter
was/would be beneficial to keep track of multiple response efforts.
Pacific Glass Inc ‐ $739.20
Cost relates to a window replacement for a single family residence located on NE 9th Pl paid for through our
Housing Repair Assistance Program (HRAP) and not on a city owned property. A rock was thrown through this
resident’s front window and the HRAP was asked to help pay for the costs.
Windhorse Colab – Pam Haley ‐ $2,600
Costs are associated with services rendered on the Government Performance Consortium (GPC) program. The
City engaged with Pamela Haley, Windhorse Colab, in support of the GPC’s effort to provide subject matter
expertise on project design, collaborative learning techniques and engagement strategies to leverage GOP
municipal dashboard project and GPC community learning forum project. The City was reimbursed for these
costs on 6/6/2019 through an agreement we have the University of Washington Tacoma to cover these costs.
Thank you,
Kari
