Follow up from the 1/7/19 finance committee meeting:
1. Baylis Architects, $3,460.23
a. Question: how much have we spent on the Family First Center, to‐date?
b. The City has spent $239,116.89 of the $331,000 council approved budget amount. The breakdown of
the $239k spent to‐date, is as follows:
2. The Owl Project, $750
a. Question: what is the status of the Owl Project? When will it be done?
b. Answer: This $750 was the payment to artists for their design of the work that will be incorporated at
CARCO theater. The anticipated timeline for installation will occur in July, in connection with Renton
River Days. In 2017, the City also paid $3,770 to the Owl Project for 5 murals and installations in pre‐
identified locations in downtown. The art panels are currently being fitted with aluminum frames and
will be waiting for installation once the weather gets a little nicer.
