The King County Solid Waste Division is accepting public comments on the scope of
the Environmental Impact Statement for the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill 2020 site
development plan until August 26. The public is invited to comment on the range of
issues to study in the Environmental Impact Statement that will evaluate the
proposed development alternatives for maximizing the capacity at the Cedar Hills
Regional Landfill in unincorporated King County, near Maple Valley. To submit

Meet with members of the Renton Police Department for conversation, tropical
treats, and poolside entertainment at our first Luau with the Law. Join us on August
15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel. Members of the Renton Police
Department will be available to answer your questions about crime prevention or
police services.

Monday, August 12 through Friday, August 16. Road closure on South 14th
Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility

Monday, August 12 through Friday, August 16, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Single
lane closure on Talbot Road South in the vicinity of Valley Medical Hospital
related to the construction of the new Medical Office Building, with trucks
entering and existing the hospital. Questions may be directed to Tom Main at

Monday, August 12 through Friday, August 16, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Single
lane closure on East Valley Road between SW 19th Street and Taylor Avenue SW
for the I-405 Direct Connector Project. One lane of East Valley Road will remain
open with flaggers directing traffic through the worksite. Questions may be

Monday, August 12 through Friday, August 23. Full street closure of South 23rd
Street immediately east of Talbot Road South to Morris Avenue South for a
period of up to four weeks in order to allow the abatement of potential hazards
and repair of the sinkhole from an abandoned coal mine located under the right -
of-way. Access will remain open to homes on Morris Avenue South. Questions

Monday, August 12 through Friday, August 16, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Intermittent lane closures on Renton Avenue South from Taylor Avenue South to
South 130th Street at multiple locations, and a full-time lane shift for
approximately 200 feet in the southbound lane of Renton Avenue South
between Taylor Avenue South and South 130th Street for utility and roadway

130th Street will be closed west of Renton Avenue for utility work. Any questions

Monday, August 12 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Intermittent single
and double lane closures along Logan Avenue North between North 6th Street
and near Garden Avenue North in support of the King County Eastside Sewer
Interceptor Rehabilitation project. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at

Monday, August 12 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Full road closure on
Burnett Avenue North at North 6th Street in support of the King County Eastside
Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation project. Both the City of Renton and King
County’s Wastewater Division have reached out to property owners along the
approved detour route and to affected parties providing advanced notification of
the proposed road closure and detour route. In addition, notification was
provided in the Renton Reporter and signage will be provided in the f ield prior to
roadway closure. Resolution 4378 has been approved by City Council for the
roadway closure of Burnett Avenue North. Questions may be directed to Brad
