SANITARY SEWER GENERAL NOTES
1. A preconstruction conference and twenty -four hour notice will he required
prior to starting new construction.
2. Inspection will be accomplished by a representative of the City of Renton.
It shall be the contractor's responsibility to notify the Utility r&pwtment
24 hours in advance of backfiiling dll construction.
3. All work and materials shall be in conformance with the standards and speci-
fications of the City of Renton Utility Department and the latest elition of .
the APWA Standards and Speci""-tions.
4. A copy of this plan must be on -site whenever construction is in pro ses".
5. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to obtain street u,e and ;
other related permits prior to any construction in county or state ,ight -of -way. j
6. Approximate location of existing utilities have been obtained from available
records and are shown for convenience. The contractor shall be re,:,onsible for
verification of locations shown and for discovery of possible additional
utilities not shown, so as to avoid damage or disturbance.
7. Locations of the structures shown hereon are approximate. Exact locations
shall be field set by the engineer.
8. Except where rioted on the plans as Ductile Iron, the ,ar.itar ^y ;ewer
pipe shall be P.V. C. conforming to ASTM D -3034, SDR 35..
Where noted on the plans, the sanitary sewer pipe shall be Ductile
Iron conforming to AWWA C1'51, Class 50 lock -type mechanical joint.
9. All side sewers shall be 6" minimum diameter at 2.0r minimum Slope.
10. All manholes shall have a minimum drop between invert to and invert out of
0.10 feet.
Ii. All manholes shall have lacking lids.

All drop manhole pipes shall be cast/ Ductile iron or F.V".
