GENERAL NOTES
1. ALL WORK MATERIALS SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE STANDARDS AND
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CITY OF RENTON UTILITY DEPARTMENT AND THE LATEST
EDITION OF THE APWA STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
2. A PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE AND TWENTY -FOUR HOUR NOTICE WILL BE RE-
QUIRED PRIOR TO STARTING NEW CONSTRUCTION
3. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY THE UTILITY
DEPARTMENT 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF BACKFILLING ALL CONSTRUCTION.
4. ALL MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF
THE DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS, AW WA DIOO.79 INCLUDING APPENDICES A AND C,
AND A.W.S. D5.2 -79.
5. INSPECTION: CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION AND STRUCTURALSTEEL ERECTION SHALL
BE SUPERVISED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 306 OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING
CODE AND THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS BY A QUALIFIED TESTING AGENCY DESIG-
NATED BY THE ENGINEER. THE ENGINEER SHALL BE FURNISHED WITH COPIES OF
ALL TEST RESULTS.
6. SHOP DRAWINGS FOR REINFORCING STEEL AND STRUCTURAL STEEL SHALL BE
SUBMITTED TO THE ENGINEER FOR REVIEW PRIOR TO FABRICAMON OFTHESE ITEMS.
7. CONCRETE PROTECTION( COVER) FOR REINFORCING STEELSHALL BEAS FOLLOWS:
