CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCING
1. ALL CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING FINAL RESTORATION,
IN NE 16TH ST SHALL BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO
JULY 1, 2002.
2. ALL CONSTRUCTION AND FINAL RESTORATION OF EACH
STREET SEGMENT SHALL BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO
BEGINNING CONSTRUCTION ON THE NEXT STREET SEGMENT.
AN EXCEPTION WILL BE MADE IF THE CONTRACTOR USES
MORE THAN ONE CONSTRUCTION CREW. THE CONTRACTOR
MAY THEN BEGIN CONSTRUCTION ON A SECOND STREET
SEGMENT HOWEVER, ALL CONSTRUCTION ON THE FIRST
STREET SEGMENT SHALL BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO BEGINNING

NOTES:
1. ALL TRENCHES IN ROADWAY AREAS SHALL BE BACKFILLED AND PATCHED
PER SPECIAL PROVISION 5 -06.1 AT END OF EACH WORK DAY.
THIS WORK IS INCIDENTAL TO ALL TRENCH RESTORATION WORK.
2. THE FINAL SAWCUT JOINT SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 1' BEYOND
THE UNDISTURBED EDGE OF THE TRENCH.
3. ALL ASPHALT PATCH AREA OUTSIDE OF PAY LIMIT SHOWN SHALL
BE CONSIDERED INCIDENTIAL TO OTHER ITEMS OF WORK.

WITHIN (2) WEEKS OF COMPLETION OF WORK WITHIN THE ROADWAY AREA

ROADWAY RESTORATION STANDARDS
ROADWAY REBUILD: BLAINE AVE NE (1800 BLOCK TO NE 20TH ST), CAMAS AVE NE,
DAYTON AVE NE, MONTEREY CT NE AND MONTEREY AVE NE (2400 BLOCK)
REMOVE ALL EXISTING ASPHALT AND SUBSTANDARD SUBGRADE MATERIAL
AND REPLACE WITH 6" CRUSHED SURFACING TOP COURSE AND 4" OF
CLASS B ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT (TO BE DONE IN 2 -2" LIFTS).
ALL ROADWAYS SHALL HAVE A 2% CROWN WITH THE CENTERLINE
ELEVATIONS GOVERNED BY THE EXISTING GUTTER ELEVATIONS.
DAYTON AVE NE (NO EXISTING CURBS & GUTTERS) SHALL MATCH
PRECONSTRUCTION ELEVATIONS.
ASPHALT PATCH & OVERLAY: MONTEREY AVE NE (1600 BLOCK) AND EDMONDS AVE NE

TO 1 Y2 INCHES WITHIN 20 FEET.
MONTEREY AVE NE SHALL HAVE A 20 FOOT LONG, CURB TO CURB
GRIND AT THE SOUTH AND NORTH ENDS OF THE PROJECT AREA
AND AT THE TRANSITION TO NE 17TH PL.
EDMONDS AVE NE SHALL HAVE A 20 FOOT LONG, CURB TO CURB
GRIND AT THE SOUTH AND NORTH ENDS OF THE PROJECT AREA
AND A MINIMUM 6 FOOT LONG GRIND AT THE TRANSITION TO NE 25TH ST.
ASPHALT OVERLAY SHALL BE 1 -Y2" OF CL B ASPHALT AND BE FULL
