NOTES:
1. ALL TRENCHES IN ROADWAY AREAS SHALL BE BACKFILLED AND PATCHED PER SPECIAL PROVISION
5 -06.1 AT END OF EACH WORKDAY. THIS WORK IS INCIDENTAL TO ALL TRENCH RESTORATION
WORK.
2. THE JOINTS FOR FINAL PATCHES SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 1' BEYOND THE UNDISTURBED EDGE
OF THE TRENCH. JOINTS SHALL BE SAW CUT AS DESCRIBED IN THE PATCH DETAILS UNLESS
APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER.
3. ALL TEMPORARY PATCHES ON UTILITY TRENCHES SHALL BE PERMANENTLY PATCHED WITHIN TWO
(2) WEEKS OF COMPLETION OF THE INSTALLATION OF THAT UTILITY WORK UNLESS APPROVED BY
THE ENGINEER. THE ENGINEER WILL ALLOW PORTIONS OF TEMPORARY PATCHES TO REMAIN
WHERE ADDITIONAL TRENCHING WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ANOTHER UTILITY.
4. THE FINAL PATCH SHALL BE 8" HMA CLASS 1/2" PG 64 -22.
5. ALL ASPHALT PATCH AREA OUTSIDE OF PAY LIMIT SHOWN SHALL BE CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO
OTHER ITEMS OF WORK.
6. ASPHALT PATCH CONFIGURATION AT 8TH AND 10TH SHALL BE DETERMINED IN THE FIELD BY THE
ENGINEER BASED UPON TRENCH LIMITS.
