GENERAL NOTES
1. Approximate locations of existing utilities have been obtained from available records
and are shown for convenience. The contractor shall be responsible for verifying the
location of all existing utilities whether shown or not. The contractor shall call
the Utility Locator Service, 1 -800- 424-5555, five working days prior to any
construction.
2. It Is the responsibility of the contractor to verify what permits have been secured
(if any) and to obtain and possess all required permits prior to commencing
construction.
3. The contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of employees on
the project and shall comply with all applicable provisions of Federal, State, and
Municipal safety laws and building codes. He shall erect and properly maintain, at
all times, as required by the conditions and progress of the work, all necessary
safeguards for protection of workmen and the public; shall post danger signs warding
against known or unusual hazards; and he shall designate a responsible member of his
organization on the construction site whose duty shall be the prevention of
accidents.

Division 24 hour notification of work to be performed on project for Inspection

shall be covered until It has been examined by the Engineer.'
8. The contractor shall submit a request for materials approval at the earliest possible
date.
9. As -Bulit drawings will be required on completion of all projects.
