1. All work shall be in accordance with the National Electric Code and these plans.
2. Unless otherwise noted, the location of features shown are approximate and the exact location
will be established by the Engineer in the field.
3. Install all street lighting materials shown on the plans, except where noted. All materials shall
be new and of the best available grade or quality.
4. The contractor shall submit a request to the City of Renton for materials approval at the earliest
possible date.
5. All work shall be consistent with utility agency requirements. The contractor shall contact all
pertinent utility agencies 48 hours before commencing work and shall coordinate the work with
the utilities throughout the project.
6. The contractor shall be responsible for any damage to existing utilities. The contractor shalt
notify the affected utility company and the City immediately upon damage.
7. The contractor shall notify the City of Renton Field Inspection Division (277 -5570) for
inspection purposes, 24 hours before commencing work. No work shall be covered until it has
been examined by the engineer.
8. All conduit shall be PVC Schedule 40, except for street crossings, which will be PVC schedule
80.
9. All conduit cover shall be 24 inches minimum.
10. Minimum conduit is 1 1/2 ".
11. Pole numbers will be designated by City of Renton. Private poles will be preceded by the
Letter "P "
12. Ali pole cable to be 10/2 stranded bracket cable.
13. Each pole to be grounded and bonded as per N.E.C. ground to return to main isolated ground
bus in service center.
14. All lighting conduit to be routed under sidewalk - then to pole or pole base behind sidewalk.

RCS SERIES - RECTANGULAR CUTOFF LUMINAIRE - HPS RCS -A- 1505 -3P
The Magnuform III Series offers an aesthetically -styled
rectangular housing with sharp cutoff for a variety of
distributions for any lighting application. With a wide range
Of optical assemblies the RCS Series is ideal for shopping
centers, parking areas, malls, commercial and industrial
complexes, roadway, or any area where luminaire styling
contributes to the visual environment. The RCS unit is
available in 100 -400 waft HPS and 175 -400 Metal Halide.
Housing - Lightweight, rugged one -piece formed and
welded aluminum insures smooth construction and
weatherproof integrity. The luminaire is pre- drilled for
mounting to pole or wall.
Ballast - 1 BO °C insulation, -20 °F starting )-40 °F, HPS),
60 Hz HPF ballast. 50 Hz ballast available - contact
factory.
Lens Door Frame - Extruded frame with rigid corner
bracing and die -cast zinc latches to permit tool -less entry
for servicing. The door has high quality silicone gasketing
to seal against entry of insects, din and moisture.
