GENERAL NOTES
1. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE WITH WSDOT STANDARD PLANS &
SPECIFICATIONS AND THE LATEST AMENDMENTS, APWA STANDARDS, THE
CITY DEVELOPMENTAL GUIDELINES AND THESE PLANS.
2. UTILITY LOCATION (DIAL -A -DIG) PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. CONFLICTS SHALL BE BROUGHT
TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ENGINEER FOR RESOLUTION.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH POWER COMPANY REGARDING THE
ELECTRICAL SERVICE CONNECTION. CONTRACTOR SHALL MEET WITH
PUGET SOUND ENERGY REPRESENTATIVE SHERI CLARKE AT (425)
456 -2701 PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF METER BASE.
4. THE LOCATON OF ALL FEATURES TO BE INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL BE VERIFIED IN FIELD BY THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
5. ALL NEW JUNCTION BOXES INSTALLED IN SIDEWALKS SHALL HAVE SKID
RESISTANT LIDS. ALL JUNCTION BOXES SHALL HAVE LOCKING LIDS PER
CDR STD PLAN #127.
6. CONDUIT LOCATIONS ARE SHOWN FOR REFERENCE ONLY. FINAL
LOCATIONS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CONTRACTOR AND APPROVED
BY THE ENGINEER IN THE FIELD.
7. NUMBER OF CONDUIT BENDS BETWEEN PULL POINTS SHALL NOT BE MORE
THAN THE EQUIVALENT OF FOUR QUARTER BENDS (360 DEGREES TOTAL).
IF NUMBER OF BENDS EXCEEDS 360 DEGREES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
INSTALL ADDITIONAL JUNCTION BOXES, AS REQUIRED.
8. ILLUMINATION SHALL BE MAINTAINED DURING CONSTRUCTION IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 8- 20.3(1)A OF THE SPECIFICATIONS. THE
CONTRACTOR IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING 10' CLEARANCE
ZONE AROUND EXISTING AERIAL PRIMARY POWER LINES DURING THE
CONSTRUCTION. COORDINATE WORK WITH THE POWER COMPANY
REPRESENTATIVE.
9. FOR LOCATIONS OF PRIVATE LUMINAIRES TO BE REMOVED, SEE SITE `1
PREPARATION PLANS. GRIND DOWN EXISTING FOUNDATION TO 2' BELOW
PROPOSED GRADE AND CAP AND ABANDON EXISTING UNUSED CONDUIT.
SPLICE EXISTING WIRING IF NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN CONNECTIONS TO
EXISTING PRIVATE LUMINAIRES TO REMAIN. BACKFILL AND COMPACT ALL
VOIDS PER SPECIAL PROVISIONS.
