DEMOLITION NOTES
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN WRITTEN PERMISSION FORM ALL UTILITY COMPANIES PRIOR TO ANY DEMOLITION WORK
OR DISCONNECTION OF ANY SERVICES. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AND COMPLYING PATH ALL
REQUIREMENTS OF THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANIES.
2. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING ALL EXISTING UTILITIES WHICH ARE TO REMAIN IN SERVICE,
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO GAS, ELECTRIC, TELEPHONE, WATER, SEWER, AND STORM LINES.
3. ALL STRUCTURES BEING DEMOLISHED, INCLUDING SLABS AND FOUNDATIONS, SHALL BE COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM
THE SITE.
4. ALL DEMOLITION WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL STATE AND LOCAL CODES AND
REQUIREMENTS. THE CONTRACTOR IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLIANCE WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING, BUT
NOT LIMITED TO, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, DISPOSAL, AND HOURS OF OPERATION.
5. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL REQUIRED PERMITS FOR SITE DEMOLITION. COST OF ALL
PERMITS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND SHALL BE INCLUDED AS PART OF THE CONTRACT.
6. IT IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO INSPECT THE EXISTING STRUCTURES FOR ANY CONDITIONS WHICH MAY
AFFECT THE DEMOLITION PROCEDURES. CONFLICTS SHOULD BE NOTED TO THE ENGINEER.
7. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO INSPECT THE PROPERTY FOR TYPE AND QUANTITY OF
DEMOLITION REQUIRED PRIOR TO SUBMISSION OF A BID.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE WATER ON SITE FOR DUST ABATEMENT AT ALL TIMES DURING DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE APPROPRIATE DISPOSAL OF ALL DEBRIS. BURNING ON SITE
SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED. NO DEBRIS INCLUDING CONCRETE OF ASPHALT MAY BE PLACED IN ANY FILL AREA.
10. ANY DAMAGE TO PUBLIC UTILITIES OR ADJACENT PROPERTIES AS A RESULT OF THE DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES SHALL BE
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. THE COST OF REPAIRS SHALL BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBLITY OF THE
CONTRACTOR. ALL REPAIRS SHALL BE MADE IN A TIMELY MANNER TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE DAMAGED PARTY.
11. DURING THE COURSE OF DEMOLITION, CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE SECURITY FENCING AND OTHER PRECAUTIONARY
SAFETY MEASURES AS NECESSARY.

1.Prior to any clearing all trees to be retained shall be Flagged.
2.Prior to grading and throughout construction, a temporary chainlink, wire or plastic net fence shall be used to identify T35 28" COTTONWOOD
the protected area (drip line) of any signifcant tree designated for retention. The height of such fencing shall be T36 11" MAPLE
adjusted according to the topographic and vegetative conditions of the site to provide clear visual delineation of the T37 12° MAPLE
protected area. The size of the protected area around the tree shall be equal to one foot diameter for each inch of
