TESL NOTES : THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THESE ESC PLANS AND THE CONSTRUCTION, MAWTEILWCE, REPLACEMENT AND UPGRADING OF THESE ESC FACILITIES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR UNTIL ALL CONSTRUCTION IS APPROVED. THE TESC FACILITIES SHOWN ON THIS PUN ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ANTICIPATED SITE CONDITIONS. DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD, THESE ESC FACILITIES SHALL BE UPGRADED AS NEEDED FOR UNEXPECTED STORM EVENTS. THE TESC FACILITIES ON INACTIVE SITES SHALL BE INSPECTED AND MAINTAINED A MINIMUM OF ONCE A MONTH OR WITHIN THE 48 HOURS FOLLOWING A STORM EVENT. AT NO TIME SHALL MORE THAN ONE FOOT OF SEDIMENT BE ALLOWED TO ACCUMULATE WITHIN A CATCH BASIN. ALL CATCH BASINS AND CONVEYANCE LINES SHALL. BE CLEANED PRIOR TO PAVING. THE CLEANING OPERATION SHALL NOT FLUSH SEDIMENT -LADEN WATER INTO THE DOWNSTREAM SYSTEM. STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES AND WASH PADS SHALL BE INSTALLED AT THE BEGINNING OF CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTAINED FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT. ADDITIONAL MEASURE MAY BE REQUIRED TO INSURE THAT ALL PAVED AREAS ARE KEPT CLEAN FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT. WHERE STRAW MULCH FOR TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL IS REQUIRED, IT SHALL BE APPLIED AT A MINIMUM THICKNESS OF TWO INCHES. THE SOIL MOISTURE HOLDING CAPACITY OF ALL NEW PERVIOUS SURFACES THAT AT PROJECT COMPLETION WILL NOT BE COVERED BY IMPERVIOUS SURFACE OR INCORPORATED INTO A DRAINAGE FACILITY MUST BE PROTECTED. THE DUFF LAYER AND NATIVE TOPSOIL SHALL BE RETAINED IN AN UNDISTRUBED STATE TO THE MAXIMUM STINT FEASIBLE ANY DUFF LAYER OR TOPSOIL REMOVED DURING GRADING SHALL BE STOCKPILED ONSITE IN A DESIGNATED, CONTROLLED AREA NO ADJACENT TO PUBLIC RESOURCES AND CRITICAL AREAS. THE MATERIAL SHALL BE REAPPLIED TO OTHER PORTIONS OF THE SITE WHERE FEASIBLE THE SOIL IN ANY AREA THAT HIS BEEN COMPACTED OR THAT HAS HAD SOME OR ALL OF THE DUFF LAYER OR UNDERLYING TOPSOIL REMOVED SHALL BE AMENDED TO MITIGATE FOR LOSS OF MOISTURE- HOLDING CAPACITY. THE AMENDMENT SHALL TAKE PUCE BETWEEN MAY 1 AND OCTOBER 1. REPLACED TOPSOIL SLWl BE A MINIMUM OF 8 INCHES THICK. REPLACED TOPSOIL SHALL HAVE ORGANIC MATER CONTENT BETWEEN 8 AND 13 PERCENT DRY WEIGHT AND A PH SUITABLE FOR THE PROPOSED LANDSCAPE PLANTS. SITE REMOVAL NOTES : 1. ALL EXISTING SITE FEATURES ABOVE OR BELOW THE GROUND SURFACE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FOUNDATIONS, PAVEMENT, SIGNAGE, UTILITIES, UTILITY STRUCTURES, LANDSCAPING (REFER TO SHEET L1.0 FOR TREE REMOVALS), AND FENCING WITHIN THE REMOVAL BOUNDARY ARE TO BE REMOVED ENTIRELY AND DISPOSED OF UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE PLANS OR AS DIRECTED BY THE OWNER. ALL PUBLIC STRUCTURES TO BE REMOVED ARE TO BE RELOCATED OR TO BE COORDINATED WITH DPW FOR DROP OFF OR PICK UP (IE. HYDRANTS, GATE VALVES MH & CB FRAME COVERS). 2. IF ANY ADDITIONAL REMOVALS ARE REQUIRED OUTSIDE THE REMOVAL BOUNDARY FOR UTILITY CONNECTIONS OR DRIVEWAYS, THEY SHALL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH IDENTICAL MATERIALS AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. 3. ALL UTILITY STRUCTURES WITHIN REMOVAL BOUNDARY TO REMAIN SHALL BE RAISED OR LOWERED TO MATCH FINISHED GRADE. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, SANITARY, STORM, WATER, ELECTRICAL, TELECOM STRUCTURES, GATE VALVE BOXES, & HAND HOLES. REFER TO SHEET C3.1 4. ALL ELECTRICAL & TELECOM UTILITIES SERVICING ITEMS TO REMAIN SHALL BE FIELD VERIFIED & RELOCATED PRIOR TO DEMOLITION SUCH THAT THE OWNER DOES NOT EXPERIENCE ANY "OUTAGES" OR "FAILURES" WITH THEIR INTERNAL ELECTRICAL, TELEPHONE, SECURITY OR COMPUTER SYSTEMS.
