HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 4203CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 4203 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING AN AMENDED 2013/2014 CITY OF RENTON FEE SCHEDULE. WHEREAS, on November 26, 2012, the Council adopted Resolution No. 4164, which approved a fee schedule for the years 2013 and 2014 as a part of the City's 2013/2014 biennial budget; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the fee schedule for 2014 as a part of the City's 2013/2014 mid-biennial budget adjustment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The amended 2013-14 City of Renton Fee Schedule, attached hereto, is hereby adopted by reference. The ERC shall advise the applicant(s) of the projected costs for the EIS prior to actual preparation; the applicant shall post bond or otherwise ensure payment of such costs. The ERC may determine that the City will contract directly with a consultant for preparation of an EIS, or a portion of the EIS, and may bill such costs and expenses directly to the applicant. Such consultants shall be selected by mutual agreement of the City and applicant after a call for proposals. If a proposal is modified so that an EIS is no longer required, the ERC shall refund any fees collected under this subsection which remain after incurred costs are paid. The City may collect a reasonable fee from an applicant to cover the cost of meeting the public notice requirements of this Title relating to the applicant's proposal. The City shall not collect a fee for performing its duties as a consulted agency. The City may charge any person for copies of any document prepared under this Title, and for mailing the document, in a manner provided by chapter 42.17 RCW. b. Exception for Projects Vested in the County: For those projects that have vested to a land use permit under the development regulations of King County, the King County Land Use Review Fee Schedule shall apply, and is hereby adopted by reference. A copy of that fee schedule has been filed with the City Clerk and is available at the City Clerk's office for public review. 3. Public Works Fees a. Franchise Permit Fees: Unless otherwise specified in a franchise agreement, the fee shall be due and payable at or prior to the time of construction permit issuance. If a franchise agreement does not specify the fee amount, the generic fee, as identified in the following table, shall be collected. A bond as stipulated in RMC 9-10-5, Street Excavation Bond, is also required.
