HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5284CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO.5284 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ANNEXED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM R-4 (URBAN RESIDENTIAL 4 DU PER ACRE,KING COUNTY ZONING)TO R-4 (RESIDENTIAL 4 DUlAC;FOUR DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE) (LEITCH ANNEXATION,FILE NO.A-05-004). WHEREAS,under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2,Zoning Districts -Uses and Standards, of Title IV (Development Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington,"as amended,and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith,the property hereinbelow described has not been zoned in the City of Renton;and WHEREAS,the property owners petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and concurrent rezoning,and the annexation has been approved and the property annexed to the City of Renton,and the City has held two public hearings to consider this zoning application,.with the first hearing held on August 21,2006,and the second hearing held on April 23,2007;and the zoning request is in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan,as amended,and the City Council has considered an matters relevant thereto,and an parties have been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I.The fonowing described property in the City of Renton is hereby zoned to R-4 as hereinbelow specified.The annual ordinance adopting the maps of the City's zoning ordinance is hereby amended to evidence said rezoning and the EDNSP Administrator is 1 ORDINANCE NO.5284 authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance,as amended,to evidence said rezoning,to wit: See Exhibits "A"attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. [Said property,approximately 14 acres,is generally located immediately south of the south side of SE 136 th Street on the north,west of the middle of 140th Avenue SE,if extended,the east side of 140th Avenue SE to 1431'd A venue SE on the east.} SECTION II.This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval,and thirty days after its publication.
