RESOLUTION NO.3953
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR A
WASHINGTON WILDLIFE RECREATION PROGRAM (WWRP)
PROJECT TO THE RECREATION AND CONSERVATION OFFICE
(RCO)AS PROVIDED IN CHAPTER 79A.15 RCW,ACQUISITION OF
HABITAT CONSERVATION AND OUTDOOR RECREATION LANDS
(RON REGIS PARK,PHASE II CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT).
WHEREAS,the City of Renton has approved a comprehensive plan that includes this
project area;and
WHEREAS,under the provisions of WWRP,state funding assistance is requested to aid
in financing the cost of land acquisition and/or facility development;and
WHEREAS,the City of Renton considers it in the best public interest to complete the
land acquisition and/or facility development project described in the application;and
WHEREAS,the City of Renton provided appropriate opportunity for public comment on
this application;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
SECTION II.
The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
The Mayor is authorized to make formal application to the
Recreation and Conservation Office for funding assistance.
SECTION III.

Any fund assistance received will be used for implementation of

The City of Renton hereby certifies that its share of project funding
is committed and will be derived from The Regis Park Athletic Field Expansion and the Park
Mitigation Fund accounts.
SECTIONV.The City of Renton acknowledges that the City is responsible for
supporting all non-cash commitments to this project should they not materialize.
SECTION VI.The City of Renton acknowledges that any property acquired or
facility developed with financial aid from the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board
(RCFB)must be placed in use for the funded purpose and be retained in such use in perpetuity
unless otherwise provided and agreed to by the City and RCFB.
SECTION VII.This resolution will become part of a formal application to the
Recreation and Conservation Office.
