RESOLUTION NO.3893
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
SETTING A HEARING DATE TO VACATE THE SOUTHERN MOST
PORTION OF WIDTWORTH AVE.S.,NORTH OF THE EXISTING
RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY (TEAM PROPERTIES;VAC 07-002)
WHEREAS,a Petition has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or
about April 4,2007,pursuant to the requirements ofRCW 35.79,petitioning for the vacation of
the southern most portion Whitworth Ave.S.lying north of the existing railroad right-of-way as
hereinafter more particularly described,and said petition having been signed by the owners of
more than two-thirds (2/3)of the property abutting upon said street sought to be vacated,and
same being described as follows:
See Exhibit"A"attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein.

the existing railroad right-of-way]
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.That August 6,2007,at the hour of 7:00 p.m.at the City Council
Chambers at City Hall,Renton,King County,Washington,is hereby fixed as the time and place
for a public hearing to consider the aforesaid Petition for vacating the portion of the southern
most portion Whitworth Ave.S.lying north of the existing railroad right-of-way,
which said hearing date is not more than sixty nor less than twenty days from the date of passage
of this Resolution.
SECTIONll.The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of
the time and date of this hearing as provided by RCW 35.79.020 and any and/or all persons

interested therein or objecting to this vacation may then appear and be heard thereon,or they
may file their written objections thereto with the City Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on
the vacation.
SECTIONm.The City Council shall determine,as provided by RCW 35.79.030,
as to whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine the fair market value of the property
sought to be vacated and the amount of compensation to be paid by the Petitioner-Owners to the
City for such vacation.

said County,said corner being on the west right of way margin of Whitworth Avenue
South;thence SOl °17'56"W,along the east line of said Block 2 and west margin,337.00
feet to the south line of the north 17.00 feet of Lot 16,Block 2 of said Plat and the POINT
OF BEGINNING of the herein described tract;thence continuing SOl °17'56"W,along said
east line and west margin,113.16 feet to the southeast comer of Lot 13,Block 2,of said
Plat,said corner being on the nOltherly margin of the Chicago,Milwaukee,St.Paul and
Pacific Railroad right of way and on the arc of a 5679.58-foot radius curve to the left,the
center of which bears N22°18'06"W;thence the following three courses and distances
along said margin;thence easterly,along said curve,through a central angle of 00°19'50",
a distance of32.78 feet to the centerline of said Whitworth Avenue South;thence
N01 °17'56"E,along said centerline,7.23 feet;thence N66°59'54"E 32.92 feet to the
