HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4877CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 4877 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES ANNEXED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM R-4 (URBAN RESIDENTIAL 4DU PER ACRE, KING COUNTY ZONING) TO R-5 (RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY; FIVE DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE) AND R-8 (RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY; EIGHT DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE) (KNIGHT; FILE NO. A-99-002). WHEREAS, under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2, Land Use Districts, of Title IV (Development Regulations) of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington," as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has not been zoned in the City of Renton; and WHEREAS, said property owners petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and concurrent rezoning, which said annexation having previously been approved and the property annexed to the City of Renton, and the City having held two pubhc hearings to consider this zoning application, the first hearing being held on July 10, 2000, and the second hearing being held on November 20, 2000, and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby zoned to R-5 and R-8 as hereinbelow specified. The annual ordinance adopting the maps of 1 ORDINANCE NO. 4877 the City's Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to evidence said rezoning and the Development Services Director is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to wit: See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. (Said property, approximately 46 acres, is located between 144th and 148th Avenue SE from the city limits south to SE 132nd Street, and between 146th Avenue SE and 148th Avenue SE from SE 132nd Street to SE 136th Street; and two lots north of SE 129th Street and west of 144th Avenue SE.) SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and five days after its pubhcation. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 4 th day of Decemb 2000.
